Cranwell reaches special milestone
25th April
Steve Palmer, Founder of Cranwell Wealth Solutions in Heathfield reflects on 10 years of being in business.
“For 10 years we’ve been privileged to be by the side of our much-valued clients, often in the moments that matter most to them.
“As we reached our 10-year anniversary it has been fascinating to look back over our own business milestones. A few highlights include launching our very first high street branch in Uckfield and then closely followed by another in Heathfield. Watching the team expand to the 10 of us now and experiencing life’s big moments with our clients,” said Steve.
With all those years behind them, here’s Cranwell Wealth Solutions’ top pieces of advice:
- By using the reliefs and allowances that are waiting to be claimed, yet many don’t e.g. marriage allowance, clients can achieve quick wins that can put more money back into their pockets.
- It’s always worth exploring additional ways that clients can pass on more of their hard-earned assets to their loved ones when they are no longer here, such as mitigating Inheritance Tax.
- Disposable income should be split into three, 1/3rd to pay down/overpay debt, 1/3rd to boost your retirement or investment planning and 1/3rd to enjoy.
- Above all, even small changes in financial decisions can make a huge difference later in life – there’s no better time to start planning than today.
And as we look forward to the next few years, here’s what Steve sees for the markets and our economy:
- Indications suggest that the inflation rate target set by the B of E will get closer to its 2% target. This will mean that interest rates on your mortgage could come down – something many will be glad to hear.
- The change in inflation rate will see some pressure released for those of us that have mortgage loans, but this will once again place pressure on savers as they struggle to gain adequate income.
- We face a potential change in government – will this add further change for each of us through extra taxation or having to wait longer for our state pension? This remains to be seen.
“Ultimately, taking advice from a financial adviser will be more critical than ever – we can make sure that we plan with you to cover as many eventualities as possible, and as the world evolves your financial plan does too, meaning that your long-term financial goals stay on target. Thank you for being with us got 10 years. We can’t wait for the next 10!” added Steve.
