Heathfield Community College Shortlisted for Inclusive School of the Year at Tes Schools Awards 2026
Heathfield Community College is celebrating national recognition after being shortlisted for Inclusive School of the Year at the Tes Schools Awards 2026.
The College has been named among the finalists for one of the UK education sector’s most respected awards, following a record-breaking number of nominations from schools across the country.
The Tes Schools Awards celebrate the achievements of teachers, school leaders, support staff and education teams from both state and independent schools across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Since launching in 2009, the awards have recognised outstanding work taking place in schools and the positive impact this has on pupils, staff, families and wider communities.
Heathfield Community College’s shortlisting in the Inclusive School of the Year category highlights the College’s ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, supportive and ambitious learning environment for all students.
The 2026 shortlist was selected by a panel of expert judges, including experienced school leaders and education specialists. This year’s awards include 23 categories covering many areas of school life, from leadership and teaching to pupil wellbeing, outcomes and enrichment.
Rod Williams, CEO of Tes, said this year’s shortlist showcases the “exceptional standard of entries” across the awards and reflects the meaningful change being delivered by schools throughout the UK.
Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on Friday 19 June 2026 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. The event will be hosted by award-winning comedian, writer and presenter Katherine Ryan.
“Heathfield Community College is proud to be recognised on a national stage and looks forward to joining schools from across the UK at the awards ceremony in June,” commented Caroline Barlow, Headteacher.
