Now in its 14th year, the annual Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival is a great family-friendly event, popular with both amateur astronomers and complete beginners, with the option to visit for a day or register for the whole weekend. The full programme includes the screening of a sci-fi classic, lectures, talks about the telescopes, viewing (weather permitting), trade stalls, planetarium shows, raffles, family activities, astronomy societies, Astro Radio, beer tent and refreshments.
