  on December 21st 1968\, Apollo 8 was the first manned spacecraft to reach
  the Moon\, orbit it and return safely to Earth.\n\nTo explain how NASA ac
 hieved this\, Robin Mobbs\, a Lead Educator for the National Space Academy
 \, will be giving a fascinating 'behind the scenes' talk about this ground
 -breaking mission.\n\nBefore and after the talk\, there will be viewing of
  the night sky through our historic telescopes (weather permitting).\n\nTi
 me: Gates open at 6.30pm and close at 11pm.\n\nThe talk will take place at
  7.30pm\n\nCost: Normal admission price and no advance booking necessary\n
