Explore Country Ways from a bygone age at The Heathfield Show

This year Country Ways will feature old favourites and some new faces. Traditional practices, crafts and activities can be seen  in the Country Ways Arena and up close in the Country Ways tent. The live displays will include the ever popular Terrier Racing, displays from gun dogs, sheep dogs, birds of prey and working horses and a Vintage Tractors Parade.  In the tent you can explore skills of a bygone age which are very much alive today.

Meet the crafts people who continue these traditional crafts and practices: basketry, beekeeping, blacksmithing, fly dressing and fishing, hedge laying, lace making, leatherwork and saddlery, pencil drawing, Plumpton Forestry Display, pottery, pyrography, rush cane and cord chair seating, saddlery, sign writing, spinning, stained glass, stone masonary,  falconry, table carving, thatching, trug making, hurdle making, walking stick making, wheelwrighting,  and woodcarving.

Craftspeople will be demonstrating their skills in front of you, you will be able to ask questions and in some cases there will be items to buy direct from the producer. Highlights include:
