There is much publicity given over at the moment to the massive problem of plastic pollution on land and in our oceans and waterways; so many people are trying to cut down their use of plastic. Here is a great way for Heathfield residents to start reducing their use of plastics. Heathfield Wholefoods Health Store on the High Street offer a refill service of Ecover products. The products available are: Washing Up Liquid, Laundry Liquid, Fabric Conditioner, and All Purpose Cleaner. All you need is your empty Ecover bottle or a similar one litre, 500ml or 1.5 litre plastic container to refill.
The shop has reported a surge in interest in this service recently, although credit should go to the owner, Rita Quinlan who introduced this refill service about eight years ago, well ahead of the current trend.
