Coaching programme at Cross in Hand set to launch
Cross in Hand Tennis Club has welcomed a new partnership with Elevate Tennis Coaching that will see the launch of a new coaching programme for children and adults.
The new programme will see three professional, qualified coaches working at the club to offer private and group lessons to all ages and standards.
Club Chairman Chris Groom said: “We’re delighted to continue the association with Nick and his team and look forward to seeing lots more people, both members and non-members, getting involved in coaching and improving their tennis with some expert help.”
Nick Andrews is Director of Elevate Tennis Coaching. He was a former county and regional player and trained with the likes of Martin Lee who was ranked in the top 100. Nick is an LTA Senior Performance Coach with over 20 years of coaching experience. Nick works with players from complete beginners who are just starting out to world ranked players on the circuit.
Nick said: “We are delighted to be launching a new programme at Cross in Hand. We have lots of capacity for people of all ages and welcome newcomers to the area. The great facilities at the club mean we can coach all year round. Tennis is such a fantastic and social sport that can be enjoyed by any age. Even if you’ve never played before, we urge you to come and have a go.”
The new programme includes everything from tots tennis (from age 3) to performance squads for teenagers and cardio tennis for adults. There will also be tournaments and ladder competitions in the coming year as well as team tennis for juniors. For more details go to Elevate Tennis Coaching.
You don’t have to be a member to benefit from coaching at the club but there is a small extra charge for non-members.
All Elevate coaches are DBS checked, qualified First Aiders and have current LTA accreditation.
The club offers a month’s free membership to all prospective members so they can take advantage of the club’s facilities and take part in coaching sessions before committing to becoming a full member. The club’s membership fees are very competitive. For more details go to Cross in Hand Tennis Club.
