Isenhurst Health Club rowers win podium places at national championships

Rowers from Isenhurst Health Club Cross In Hand picked up a series of medals at the weekend at this year’s British Indoor Rowing Championships that took place at the Leigh Valley VeloPark, East London.

Two teams, headed up by Personal Trainers Alex Purcell and Louis Chavannes, received silver and bronze in the 4000m mixed relay. Isenhurst member Keith Keaveny picked up a silver medal in the 500m individual event.

All members who took part trained for months in the lead up to the championships that’s hailed as the festival of indoor rowing for all ages and abilities.

This is the third year Alex Purcell has organised the overall entries and training with a ladies team from Isenhurst winning gold in the 4000m relay back in 2016.
