The Heathfield Show brings the usual variety of entertainment and some new highlights on offer to visitors on Show Day

This year’s Heathfield Show will again be supported by a host of sponsors LISTED HERE including Lightning Fibre who will be supplying the wi-fi for a third year. The show is a huge community effort with many volunteers working day and night to ensure the show runs smoothly. And without the support of local businesses theis rural show would not be what it is today.

This year the event team sees Tracy Hobden take on her second year as the new Show Secretary and the Show President – The Marquess of Abergavenny will be in post for his second show too.

Activity all day long, get ready for a spectacular day out at the Heathfield Show

The countdown is on for the Heathfield Show 2026, and this year’s event promises to be a vibrant celebration of countryside life, local talent, family fun and unforgettable entertainment. Whether you are a long-time showgoer or planning your first visit, there will be plenty to see, enjoy and discover throughout the day.

One of the great highlights of the show will be the ever-popular livestock and equestrian competitions. Exhibitors will travel from far and wide to take part, bringing with them some of the finest cattle, sheep and pigs in the area. Visitors can look forward to seeing beautifully presented animals, young farmers in action, and the skill and dedication that goes into preparing livestock for the show ring.

Shetland Pony Grand National is back by popular demand

For horse lovers, the equestrian programme is set to be a real treat. With competitions taking place across five rings, there will be a packed schedule of talent, precision and excitement. A particular favourite will be the fast-paced Shetland Pony Grand National, always a crowd-pleaser and sure to bring plenty of cheers from around the main ring.

OG Performance Horses

The entertainment does not stop there. OG Performance Horses and their specialist riders will be bringing the drama and elegance of the equestrian arts to the showground. Expect an impressive display of trick riding, dressage and Airs Above the Ground, combining beauty, strength and daring in a performance that is sure to leave audiences amazed.

Vandar Double Wheel of Death

For those who enjoy edge-of-your-seat entertainment, the Vander Double Wheel of Death will deliver a thrilling spectacle. Two artistes will perform using only body momentum as the wheel spins, adding blindfolded routines, juggling and skipping into an already breathtaking act.

Vintage tractors & steam

Visitors looking for something more nostalgic will love the sights and sounds of the vintage displays. From vintage tractors to working steam engines, the show offers a wonderful glimpse into countryside history in motion. It is a chance to admire beautifully preserved machinery and enjoy the atmosphere of rural heritage brought to life.

Arts & Crafts and the New Enterprise Zone

The Heathfield Show is also a fantastic place to explore local creativity and produce. The arts and crafts section will be full of handmade goods, from jewellery and artwork to decorative pieces and gifts. The bustling farmers’ market will offer delicious treats and fresh local fare, while the wide range of trade stalls means visitors will have plenty of opportunities to browse, shop and discover something new.

A special highlight for 2026 is the return of the New Enterprise Zone, showcasing up-and-coming businesses from Heathfield and the surrounding area.
