Maynards Green
Maynards Green is a small community village with its own primary school. Its local church was founded in 1863 but has since been converted into a family home leaving the village bereft of a place of worship. The village was also home to model Juliette Gardner for around 20 years. It was also home to Joanna Howitt who, upon completing her degree, volunteered to take part in support work in Africa. With a lot of hard work she raised enough funds to travel there to help teach African farmers how to live with elephants instead of culling them. It is also within easy travelling distance of the delightful country pub The Runt in Tun.
