Cranwell wins festive window display contest

It’s a great time of year when the dark December days are finally lit up with festive lights and the high street in Heathfield is always a lovely place to be thanks to the beautiful window displays.

Staff from Cranwell Wealth Solutions were given some extra Christmas cheer when we received the brilliant news that they had won ‘The Best Window Display’ by Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council.

A spokesperson from Cranwell Wealth Solutions admitted the team probably have a ‘bit too much fun’ creating the Christmas window display each year. “This year was no different and we hope to bring lots of smiles to our local high street with our loveable Gonk-themed trees and display!”

It’s the first time Cranwell has won the competition. Staff create the display themselves, come up with the idea, buy the decorations and then dress the window. Everyone helps.

In a Facebook post Heathfield & Waldron Parish Council said: “Well done to all the children who entered the colouring competition, we received lots of lovely entries. A big congratulations to the winners but especially to Emily Chaplin who turned on our Christmas lights.

“Another congratulations to Cranwell Wealth Solutions for being the winner of the best dressed window competition 2023.

“We would also like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers that helped at the event especially The Rotary Club who are always willing to help marshal and without their help we couldn’t put on our events, Heathfield fire station for allowing us to use their premises, Agrifactors Southern Limited for installing the beautiful Christmas tree and to those who sponsored it, food and drink donations from Tesco’s Express Heathfield, Heathfield District Bonfire Society who very kindly loaned us their signage and Ricky’s Ltd who donated the plaque for the best dressed window competition.”
