Heathfield Tavern taken over by award-winning pub group
17th January
Heathfield residents have welcomed the news that The Heathfield Tavern has been taken over by Ridley Inns who run two other pubs in East Sussex.
Ridley Inns say that The Heathfield Tavern will have elements of both The Highlands Inn in Uckfield and The Cock Inn in Ringmer with an emphasis on great food and a family friendly dining experience. Both establishments have excellent reviews on Trip Advisor with The Cock Inn in getting 4.5 out of 5 across 922 reviews and The Highland Inn also achieving 4.5 across 540 reviews.
Due to open in early February, the venue will include a restaurant, bar, sports bar area, great beer, great wine and local guest ales.
Matt Ridley said: “After the huge success of both The Cock Inn and The Highlands Inn, we felt it was perfect timing to take on a new challenge. We can’t wait to turn the Heathfield Tavern into the pub we know it can be. We look forward to seeing you all soon.”
The owners are now looking for chefs, kitchen, bar and waiting staff. Anyone interested should e-mail their CV to theheathfieldtavern@gmail.com
Comments on the Heathfield Community Facebook page include: “They’ve certainly made a winner at the Highlands in Uckfield, it’s heaving every day with good food, great beer and smashing staff!”, “This is genuinely great news. The Ridley’s will work wonders with it if it’s true.”
A new Facebook page is now live for the venue: www.facebook.com/theheathfieldtavern
