Heathfield Tavern owners get approval for improvements
After a busy first six months of trading, the Heathfield Tavern has successfully applied for planning permission to create a front seating area and a courtyard garden with further seating area to the rear.
Planning Application WD/2019/1507 includes the renovation of the existing redundant external areas to the front and rear of the property into a formal seated garden area for customers to enjoy.
The improvements will create a more attractive street scene and, owners Ridley Inns hopes, attract more people to the pub and surrounding area. Access to and from the pub will remain unchanged.
Ian Ridley, of Ridley Inns, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to improve the offering of Heathfield’s only pub. We are investing in the future of the business and aim to help the local community through our local supply chain and employment.”
The team has worked hard to create a variety of special offers which are being well received by customers. Recently the pub ran a poll asking whether a Sunday carvery should be introduced. The answer was a resounding yes and the carvey has been added to the regular events.
Other events include:
Burger Wednesdays 241 on burgers every Wednesday
Ladies’ Night Every Thursday Evening (excluding December – although the £15 Prosecco prices with remain for that month)
Table of 4 = 1 FREE bottle of Prosecco
Table of 8 = 2 FREE bottles of Prosecco
