A mum of three from Horam plans to cycle across India in an effort to raise money for cancer charities.

Natalia Price-Cabrera, a Pilates instructor, plans to take part in a 450km ride with ‘Women v Cancer’ through rural Rajasthan.

Funds raised by Women V Cancer will be divided equally between three important charities: Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action and used to support their valuable work.

The 47-year-old is deep into fund raising initiatives and has been training for the event since June. So far, she has raised £1,520 of her £3,200 goal which she needs to raise before the end of August.

Natalia, who is a qualified Pilates instructor, is offering donation-based 1-2-1 Pilates sessions as well as drum lampshade-making workshops and furniture painting workshops. Natalia is urging people to donate on her Just-giving page stating that “every penny counts” towards her goal.

Natalia said that her main inspiration for taking part in the race was her close friend being diagnosed with breast cancer. Her friend’s struggle through a double mastectomy had a huge toll on her and her family.

Natalia commented that she’d always wanted to visit India because of its diverse and vibrant culture: “We are given one life so why not challenge ourselves and really feel alive. I genuinely believe life should be full of adventures.”
