There was some surprise when it was spotted that the old building that used to house the much loved Broad Oak Primary School was being advertised for accomodation with ‘no children’. A determined battle to save the school had been fought by both parents and the wider community; sadly for the campaigners the council went ahead and the school was closed last year.

A company is advertising for a ‘guardian’ who will live in the building while it stands empty. The thinking behind this is that it will deter vandals or squatters.
