The New Enterprise Zone – a showcase for start-up businesses at The Heathfield Show

16th May

Supporting new businesses in and around Heathfield

The Heathfield Agricultural Show was the pioneer of an initiative, back in 2015, to offer businesses, that have started trading since the last Show, an opportunity to have a complimentary trade stand at the Heathfield Agricultural Show.  This popular formula for allocating these stands has been copied by other agricultural shows up and down the country.

The Show Council believed in putting “its money where its mouth is” to promote new local businesses.  This year applicants were invited to apply for a free 3m x 3m stand.

Below is the list of winners who will be exhibiting their products and services at this year’s show.

There are six new companies at the Show this year:

(Bounce) Heathfield- Exercise class based on mini trampolines

Heathfield Acupuncture – Many therapeutic forms of acupuncture practised

Mulberry & Cocoa – Ethically, and locally, made soaps and skincare products

Penshurst Fuels – Family business supplier of kerosene, gas oil and diesel

Petalk – Locally grown cut flowers with a twist

Sow Wild – Local native wild flower, bee-friendly seeds

You can pass by their stands in the New Enterprise Zone and stop for a chat to find out more about their businesses.

Nicola Magill, Show Secretary commented

“The 2023 Heathfield Show will also feature all the thrills and spills in the Main Ring.  Big Pete, the Monster Truck will be smashing his way across the ring and the Shetland Pony Grand National will be taking place – talk about two very contrasting displays!

“We look forward to welcoming you to the Heathfield Agricultural Show on Saturday 27th May. Save money by purchasing your entry tickets on line and in advance.  Don’t forget – children aged 16 and under get free admission when accompanied by an adult.”
