Karen Kelly owner & practitioner, is celebrating a recent win at the Health Care Beauty Business Awards UK where she took the crown for Patient Satisfaction 2024. She has also been a finalist for the following as well this year:

Established in 2012, Radiant Facial Rejuvenation provides advanced aesthetic techniques to enhance natural beauty and confidence. In 2023 Karen opened her Heathfield clinic and the business has been going from strength to strength.

Since becoming a Registered Nurse in 2000, she has worked in many clinical environments including cardiac, trauma, respiratory and neurosurgery. She worked as a Critical Care Sister for 20 years until making the huge decision to leave the NHS in March 2024 to concentrate solely on her aesthetics clinic.  She is an Independent Nurse Prescriber and has a BSc in Nursing & Human Sciences and an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.

With a strong clinical background which focused on optimising patient safety, ensuring nursing excellence and pushing boundaries to develop personal growth she successfully nurtured a clinic that has implemented all of these core standards.

Karen is committed to operating at the highest standards and is accredited with The Aesthetics Complications Expert Group, Save Face and Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners. The clinic has passed a 116 point assessment with Save Face to ensure that standards are being met, policies and procedures are in place, and nursing excellence and expertise is maintained at all times. Client safety is always at the forefront of every consultation, treatment and review.  The clinic offers a robust feedback system, a helpline which is available 24/7 and collaborates with a local Plastic Surgeon to ensure that it has senior clinical surgical support if required.  Consultations are always free, consent is thorough and she would never perform a treatment unless a client’s expectations were managed and the clinical benefit was clear.

Karen explained:

“Working in an industry which is essentially unregulated motivates me to provide clear information at all times. I continue to be guided by my Professional Code of Conduct and endeavour to make the industry a safer place for clients and practitioners alike.  I have developed a website which is a hub of information and I write articles and blogs which focus on patient safety and the maintenance of clinical standards. My aim is to empower clients so that they can make informed decisions and ask the right questions.
