Support to Help Wealden Businesses Grow and Thrive

Small and medium-sized businesses across Wealden can now access expert, one-to-one support through the Ambition to Action programme — a new initiative helping local enterprises build resilience, boost productivity, and plan for sustainable growth.

Run by Oxford Innovation and managed by East Sussex County Council, the programme is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and available until March 2026.

What the programme offers

Businesses in Wealden can receive tailored advice and practical guidance across key areas that directly affect growth:

  • Leadership and strategy – strengthen business direction and management capability.
  • Digital adoption and AI – integrate technology to streamline operations and open new opportunities.
  • Access to finance – explore funding options and investment readiness.
  • Export readiness – prepare to enter or expand into overseas markets.
  • Low carbon transition – improve sustainability and reduce costs through energy efficiency.

Each business taking part receives a personalised action plan designed to address specific goals and challenges.
