Newly rebranded Ashdown Radio has extended and improved its reach to Heathfield and Cross in Hand.

24th February

Uckfield FM is rebranding as Ashdown Radio and its reach is extended to better reception in Heathfield and Cross in Hand. Recently the radio station’s project to bring its programmes to the people of Crowborough and to those living in the surrounding area, has been completed and its broadcasts can now be heard loud and clear on 94.7FM in and around Crowborough, Jarvis Brook, Rotherfield and Eridge and beyond.

The transmission equipment and aerial for this has been installed at the offices of Crowborough Town Council at Pine Grove.

Gary King, Business Development Manager of the station who has been leading this project said “It’s great that we can now extend our service to the people of Crowborough and surrounding area. They can now enjoy our wide selection of music together with local news, local traffic and travel information, and what is happening around the area. We are now truly a radio station that covers the whole of North Wealden”.

Uckfield FM is run by a team of volunteers and began broadcasting full time in July 2010. The station continues to broadcast on 105FM in Uckfield and the surrounding area, along with being available via Smart Speakers and its website.

The newly rebranded Asdown Radio is now in the process of completing its rebranding work, and from 1st April will be known by its new name.
