Le Marché is back – this August 30 Bank Holiday enjoy this fun FREE day out in Heathfield
30th August

At last, after having to cancel Le Marché in 2020 the organisers are now ready to go for a ‘full on’ Anglo/French market, on August Bank Holiday Monday for 2021 – the 24th year. There will be French Traders and over 60 English stallholders. Entertainment is free for all and so is the park and ride as usual. It is a great day out and the town will be buzzing come rain or shine (hopefully)
So please COME COME COME
Stall holders range from local food and drink producers and their French cousins to artisan and craft stalls across a huge range of goods. There is something for everyone. Heathfield also has a lively range of independent traders and many shops in the town will also be open throughout the day.
Throughout all this year our Entertainment committee member, Eric Kemp, has been working ceaselessly on arranging acts to provide free entertainment throughout the hours the market is open. Eric managed to secure the services of Fat Belly Jones, 21 Whiskeys, Howlin’ Grooves, The Sussex Stompers, Saxonymous, Tilsmore and for children of all ages Andy Boscoe and Marco the Magician. Regrettably the brass bands, who normally perform, were unable to attend due to stage restrictions.
The programme/brochure this year includes a full listing of all the 160 shops and small businesses in the High Street, Station Road and Hailsham Road. The organisers nominate a charity for each event and this year it will be for the Rotary Charities.
