Win a KellyBronze turkey
Here’s your chance to win a delicious free range 5kg KellyBronze turkey from Badgers Mead Farm in Five Ashes.
The Champion family has been farming at Badgers Mead Farm, between Heathfield and Mayfield, East Sussex, for 35 years.
After 20 years as a successful sheep and cattle farmer, Nev Champion turned to poultry and became the very first KellyBronze franchisee in Great Britain. Paul Kelly, founder of KellyBronze, describes Nev as one of his ‘Hero Farmers’.
The award-winning KellyBronze turkeys were introduced into the UK in the 1980s and were quickly discovered by some of the nation’s leading chefs including national treasure Delia Smith.
The KellyBronze brand now has a huge following from customers who want naturally and ethically produced food that is free from chemicals. The BBC Good Food Awards is just one of the accolades won by KellyBronze.
What makes KellyBronze turkeys different is the way they are bred and raised using traditional farming methods. KellyBronze turkeys roam freely in pastures and at night they shelter in open-sided barns with deep straw and plenty of fresh air.
All KellyBronze turkeys are slow growing and mature over several months. KellyBronze turkeys are bred without additives, drugs or growth promoters. Our processing methods are traditional with the birds being hand plucked and then hung in a chilled environment for 14 days to develop an even fuller flavour.
KellyBronze turkeys are individually wrapped and boxed to maintain their quality. They come with detailed cooking instructions and even a thermometer. If you don’t want a whole turkey, you can choose from a range of products including a delicious stuffed breast roast, a whole turkey or crown with giblets, turkey sausages and even our delicious hot cranberry sauce.
All our facilities are independently inspected to ensure compliance with the food hygiene regulations.
