Award winning wine importer launches delivery service for Heathfield area

Mayfield based, Las Bodegas, is the UK’s leading importer of wines from South America. They also stock an impressive selection of wines from Spain and France. Normally, they supply exclusively to independent wine shops and restaurant trade customers; but the recent crisis, which has seen restaurants closed, has challenged the business to think about a new way of doing things.
“With most of our trade customers closed, we have all of this great wine to sell, so we thought why not set up a local delivery service for the ten-mile radius around Heathfield. Our aim is to share our delicious wines at hugely discounted prices, saving around 30% against typical retail prices. Our wines regularly win top awards and are written about by wine journalists all over the world,” explained Laurie Webster, MD, Las Bodegas
Las Bodegas was established back in 2004, by a small group of friends with a love of Argentinian wine. Their mission was to find good quality Argentine wines from small to medium-sized producers, with most businesses being family run. As the business evolved they extended their imports to include Chile, Uruguay, Spain and France, but always keeping close to their ethos of only buying wines that impress and offer a point of difference.
They have won the coveted International Wine Challenge Specialist Merchant of the Year, for South American Specialist – six times!
