Taylor Wimpey receives planning approval for 370 homes in Hellingly

13th February

Taylor Wimpey South Thames has been given planning permission to build 370 homes on agricultural land in Hellingly.

Planning consent has been granted for 351 new one, two, three and four bedroom homes, as well as 19 additional self-build plots in the village of Hellingly, with construction work anticipated to begin in this spring.

The new development, which will be known as Swingate Park, is located to the west of Park Farm, off New Road, and will include areas of green open space and play areas as well as new pathways linking homes to the nearby Hellingly Country Park.

The homes at Swingate Park will benefit from PV panels and electric vehicle charging points will be provided on-site.

As part of its planning obligations, Taylor Wimpey will provide financial contributions to Wealden District Council towards facilities and services in the local area, including Highway improvements in the local area through S106 obligations and CIL payments.

Adam Lelliott, Land and Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “We’re delighted to have received planning permission for a new development of high quality homes in Hellingly.

“Swingate Park will have a high-quality contemporary feel, combining access to green open spaces and the nearby countryside with ideal commuter links to London and Brighton and a host of amenities and local schools.

“As well as a variety of homes to meet local needs, Swingate Park will also provide brand new facilities for both new and existing residents to enjoy and we’re excited to begin work on this exciting new development this spring.”
