New ‘zero waste’ services at Wholefoods Health Store in Heathfield
Heathfield’s only healthfood store, Wholefoods Health Store on Station Approach, is celebrating its first anniversary at their new location. Rita Quinlan, the owner has been in the supplements and healthfoods business since 1989 and this is the third location she has occupied in Heathfield during this time.
The store is packed with well known ranges of vitamins and supplements like Solgar, natural remedies like Bachs and a large range of aromatherapy oils. Alongside these you will find a comprehensive selection of dried pulses, seeds, rices, nuts, and fruits, herbal teas and infusions, vegetable pates, spreads and preserves. Plus a chiller cabinet with a selection of fresh foods, juices and non dairy products. The shop is an ideal place to source healthfoods and foods to cope with all sorts of dietary requirements – gluten free, lactose free, diabetic, and vegan.
In addition to this, the shop is introducing a new refill service which allows customers to stock up on their favourite products, using either their own containers, or the new composting cellophane bags. These will include sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, rolled oats, jumbo oats, muesli, linseed, rices and lentils and more.
All products in store are packed in a cellophane which is biodegradable. There is also a refill service for house hold cleaning products offering products from popular brands like Ecover and BioD
The shop also stocks a selection of health and beauty brands including Sulkin and Faith in Nature; the later of which will be available for refills.
Rita is a great advocate for healthy living she explained ” I am a great fan of supplements and I rarely visit the doctor. Right now for the Winter I am taking Probiotics for immunity, and if I get a bit stressed in the run up to Christmas I take Vitamin B.”
If you are looking for a product, chances are Rita stocks it, but you can always give her a call on 01435 866532 to see if it’s in stock or if she can order it for you.
