Rag ‘n’ Bone Man despairs at development in Heathfield
Rag ‘n’ Bone Man – Rory Graham – took to social media yesterday to express his despair over a housing development which is literally in his backyard. The only ‘Human’ singer called for support against the Whitehall Homes Snatchells Farm Heathfield development, which will transform the quiet wooded area beside his and adjoining homes. The 34 home development will create additional congestion on what is a very busy junction between Little London and the Cross in Hand Road. Recent roadwords in the area created lengthy tailbacks and were a stark reminder of the pressures of the one road in and one road out A265/265.
It’s easy to see why he isn’t happy. This screen grab of the proposed development shows the impact on his house bottom right and the proposed access from and onto the busy A265/267 running parallel to his access.
So unhappy is Rory that he says he will move ‘Anywhere away from here’ if the development goes ahead.
For those wishing to object you can read WDC pre application response letter, HWPC comments and Mike Gadd’s objection letter on his website below and those three documents will give you plenty of ideas for an objection letter, remember. you must include your full name and address for any comments to be registered. One of the main options put forward by the developer is to install 3/4 way traffic lights at the Little London junction.
