Sarah’s focus on getting even better pays off

Certificates won by Sarah TateA Heathfield photographer has proved once again that she is at the top of her game by winning a string of awards in a prestigious industry competition.

Sarah Tate, who has a studio in Hailsham Road, scooped four prizes at the Masters Photographers Association SE Region awards. These included: first place in the Maternity category; first place in the Under 5s category; first place in the Wedding Documentary category and a merit in the Newborn category.

Sarah was presented with her awards by Ray Lowe who is the Master Photographers Association Chairman.

She said: “I was extremely proud to receive these awards. I work very hard trying to improve my photographic skills, and by entering awards you are stretching yourself and learning new techniques while keeping abreast of new styles emerging in the industry.

“I can then therefore pass on my skills not only to my customers but other photographers, as I am now a MPA mentor. This means I am now training other photographers and helping them gain qualifications which are so important in my industry.  I am also in training to be a judge for the Master Photographs Association and the Society of Wedding and Portrait photographers. To be asked to do this is a great honour and privilege.”

Mum-of-four Sarah works from her contemporary studio in Heathfield. Sarah has been a qualified photographer for nearly 17 years and is now one of Sussex´s leading lifestyle portrait and wedding photographers.
