A great FREE day out at Le Marche, Heathfield this Bank Holiday Weekend

18th August

Heathfield’s famous Anglo/French LE MARCHÉ  is taking place on August 27 Bank Holiday Monday – as it has done for the past 21 years. It is the longest running Anglo/French market in the whole of the South East. It runs all day from 09.30 to 15.30

This fantastic all day event draws visitors into the town of Heathfield from far and wide, everyone can join in the family fun, whether it is their first visit or their tenth – it’s all free. A great thing about Heathfield is the diverse range of independent retailers still found in the town, many of these get into the spirit of the day, and open for the duration of the event.

Within the market there will be 80 stalls with French and English products including food, fruit, wine and cheeses, plus a day of entertainment including:

7 Bands

1 Choir

2 Children’s entertainers

3 Ensembles

Entertainers include:

Fat Belly Jones, The Yum Yums, Vagabond Blues, Cake and Wine Club, Duo Romantique, Emily and Em, Remnant, The Sussex Stompers, Warbleton and Heathfield Bands and many others.

And for the Children (and Adults!) Andy Boscoe and Marko the Magician will be in the State Hall (Kings Church).

There is a FREE park & ride: Buses take you from the  Heathfield Market car park – located after the Butcher’s Hook Cafe on the A265 Burwash Road to the town centre. The car park is well signposted on the day.
